Kohl’s needed 30 complex invitation kits for a major media event—fast.
Working with the client’s design files, P+H quickly engineered die lines for a box, box insert, invitation and bellyband. Then we print-tested the stock—a unique, highly sensual material—to make sure there were no issues with ink adhesion or foldability. We found out that the material required hand scoring and heat-assisted folding to keep the ink from cracking. Special effects included 4/c printing and high-gloss spot varnish on black stock, and printing on the mirror. The result was beautiful, and the event was a success.
Invitation Box
Once the ribbon was untied the invitee would find another box nesstled in crincle paper.
Multiple Pieces
Inside the second box the invitee found several different pieces with the event information laid out in luxurious textures and rich color.
